Since childhood, Anna Crawford has been creating. An entirely self-taught artist, she is showing in her first exhibition, 'where I lay my dreams,' her journey so far with a variety of mediums in painting and drawing. 

Growing up in a small town in Northern Ireland, she has come to Berlin to continue to lay her dreams and fantasies down on paper and canvas. She is both a keen observer of reality while also often infusing it with a magical otherworldliness. 

Most heavily influenced by the beauty of nature, the subtle idiosyncrasies of a face and her own powerful imagination, Anna will create a synthesis that is a precise but still wild exploration of her latest flight of fancy laid down with a honed prowess. There is a childlike exuberance within her work, with the photorealistic melting away into fierce swirls and eddies.
