Synthesis Gallery, the first VR art gallery, is happy to announce its first exhibition for the upcoming 2019 season: ‘BRUTEFORCE’ by A/A.

Curated by George Vitale, the exhibition will premiere a mix of sculptures and a VR artwork (‘AA_Infernal’, exclusively produced for the show at Synthesis), addressing movement and ephemerality in the phase transitions of materials.

ANDREAS GREINER (b. 1979, Aachen) and ARMIN KEPLINGER (b. 1982, Linz) have collaborated since 2011 as the artist duo A/A. At the core of their artistic practice is the exploration of time-based media: the artists have consistently focused on the transitional moments of materials as they change state of aggregation to a solid, liquid or aerial one. During recent years, Greiner & Keplinger have increasingly centered their artistic practice on the intersection of the analogue with the virtual space, with special emphasis on Virtual Reality. Their works have been exhibited most recently at Berlinische Galerie, Berlin (DE), Transmediale, Berlin (DE), Schinkel Pavillion, Berlin (DE), Saatchi Gallery, London (GB), Art Center Nabi, Seoul (SK), Meetfactory, Prague (CZ), Hessel Museum of Art, New York (US), Moscow International Biennale for Young Art, Moscow (RU).

SYNTHESIS GALLERY is an immersive blend of technology and art displayed under one roof, showcasing cutting-edge experiences by new wave artists and visionaries through virtual reality.
