Vintage photographs by Larry Clark on sale during Gallery Weekend.
Larry Clark’s photographs from the 1970’s until today will be on sale at Retramp Gallery from April 25 until May 5.
Known for his unparalleled insight into the world of teenagers, Larry Clark has been taking photographs and directing films - including Kids (1995), Bully (2001), Ken Park (2002) and Wassup Rockers (2005) - from the 1970s until today. The photographs exhibited are from his personal archives and include portraits of him self and his friends, as well as behind the scene snapshots from the film sets and outtakes of photo shoots for Supreme and Dior.
After successful shows in Paris, New York, Los Angeles and London, Retramp Gallery invites you to come and look through a selection of his photographs, all for sale for only 100 Euros each. The artist will be present.
From the New York Times: "The sale is for people who “come to my shows in thousands and could never afford 10 to 15 thousand dollars for a print,” Mr. Clark, 70, wrote in an email. “This is a payback to all the skate rats and collectors who would like a souvenir, so I can die happy.”
The artist will be present.
Vernissage: 25 April 7 pm - 10 pm
