The artists look back on the future by way of architectural structures and newly configured spaces. Developing their own retrospective visions of what may or may not happen: Laure Catugier and Aleks Slota create a space-time axis within the gallery walls; lost rooms and palaces are reclaimed by Mathieu Brohan’s experimental films. Pre-nostalgic, futuristic youth movements imagined by Thomas Bratzke aka Zasd hope to re-open horizons while claiming unforeseen struggles and interactive, retro-dystopian in(ter)ventions by Willi Tomes bring the past, present and distant future into a comprehensible, accessible realm. Brad Downey’s pieces playfully reimagine the possible destiny of privatized space and consciousness while Teco’s large scale sculpture on Reuterplatz invites the public to contribute to the inevitable.
Die KünstlerInnen blicken zurück auf die Zukunft und entwickeln ihre retrospektiven Zukunftsvisionen über architektonische Strukturen und neu erschlossene Räume. Eine Raum/Zeit-Achse wird in situ durch den Eingriff von Laure Catugier und Aleks Slota entstehen. Verlorene und zurückeroberte Räume und Paläste werden filmisch bei Mathieu Brohan erscheinen. Pre-nostalgisch-futuristische Jugendbewegungen reklamieren ihre Rechte und thermosensible, interaktive Meeresblicke sowie malerische, virtuelle Realitäten von Thomas Bratzke aka Zasd öffnen Horizonte. Retro-dystopische Erfindungen von Wlili Tomes sowie Objekte von Brad Downey werden spielerisch inszeniert, während Teco am Reuterplatz den zukünftigen Menschen transformiert.
