Hannah Jones is a Berlin-based artist who grew up in Swansea, Wales. She is inspired by a myriad of music, colours and shapes. Her pieces usually begin with a synaesthetic type experience that translates into painting. Her compositions create memorable floods of tone and complexion. She works with acrylics and inks, primarily on canvas and paper.

The shows name “Hiraeth” is a Welsh word that has no direct translation into English. It can be likened to a nostalgic longing for a place that can never be revisited, or for something that no longer exists.

The work in the show explores these ideas and alternative realities that you create within - imagination and the feeling that you attach with it.
