Tivnan is a prolific photographer, primarily shooting 35mm scenes of the vast and mundane local landscapes in her everyday life. An analog camera is with her everywhere she goes so she can quickly document the environmental compositions she sees and admires. Within her work, she feels the need to preserve the stillness found in what she calls : one-frame memories which she carefully captures with a click.

The Paintings of Pictures series comes from Tivnan’s longing to take her imagery further to translate the realism of her photography into her own language.

With both mediums –photography and painting – she has created her own voice and in this series she endeavors to remove the idea of the photo and put her experimental imprint on them.
