Camille's work is always influenced by the classical and religious paintings of art history.
He is mainly working with airbrushed acrylic, brushes and metallic paintings.
By creating a juxtaposition between past and present, Camille proposes a sarcastic and provocative vision of what was considered appropriate, sacred and beautiful in art history, and create new stories from what has existed, by simply adding or changing details or parts that can change the whole meaning of the piece.
Camille is mixing a classical style of representation with modern codes and painting techniques, to explore subjects such as religion, feminism, maternity and the human vices. He takes a lot of inspiration from the fetish scene of Berlin, social media, tattoos, as well as his own life experiences and vices.
Camille intends to show some simple and direct ideas, that can be sometimes absurd, sometimes more serious, quickly recognisable and that creates a clash between the classic and the modern.
