Information / Artist Biographies:

Dee Mulrooney

https://www.instagram.com/growlerspeaks/

Deirdre Mulrooney is an emerging Irish Artist, living and working in Berlin. Her current work is a fantastical and brazenly irreverent take on femininity, sexuality, religion and power.
Raised working class in a small nation dominated by Catholicism and men, she now lives as a teacher, a mother and an artist discovering the joy of playing with taboos and visions of female identity that would until all to recently have seen her locked away. "My work is a place where my joy in creativity as a woman is wholly my own and ungovernable. Through the pain and sometimes even the unspeakable, there are no limits. As women, we contain it all." Her use of media follows the iconography of identity, mish mashes of cheap paint, gold leaf, sound, theatre. Influences are, as you may guess a long list - any woman who ever did a damned thing worth doing.

Eva Garland

Eva Garland is an artist based in Berlin. Her works range from installation, drawing and sculpture to more applied forms such as puppets and costume, with a strong focus on fabric and textile mediums and an explicitly handmade approach. Recurrent themes circulating around decay and transformation, gender interplay and the questioning of beauty ideals come often into the foreground.

Nessa Finnegan / Shop Nessa Finnegan
https://www.instagram.com/nessafinnegan/

Nessa Finnegan explores a wide spectrum of established gendered rules and roles as well as authority and power in her work. Balancing humour and outrage, Nessa uses a diverse range of means including illustration, print and soft sculpture. For Holy Cvnt she has produced a series of large scale and lush corporal commodities. Her soft and squishy sculptures are a tactile treat maintaining a healthy dose of voyeurism and discomfort.

Yagama

http://www.yagama.org/

Yagama is a witch of the colourful arts working in painting, poetry, film, video, and installation. She engages in artmaking as a kind of shamanic work that can effect a change in consciousness and transformation within and without. Pandemics aside, Yagama regularly participates in various types of artistic events, concerts and exhibitions around Europe and beyond. Her current paintings focus on the interplay between sacred and profane, sex and death, fear and love, the goddess and the hag.
