Grady Roper, visual / musical / performance artist from central Texas, is touring Europe summer. The tour will focus on Grady's one man band, ATTIC TED, which performs weirdo gothic carnival musical opera post punk, with masks. The music features prerecorded Hammond organ bass and Casio drum loops, added to live with noisey guitar, clarinet and bizarro singing, with multiple personalities taking turns. It is funny yet dark and scary, while still dreamily alluring you in. These concerts will also feature 2D works of paintings / drawings of whimsy, eerie portraits and figurative narrative situations. The pieces are on paper, and combine pencil, pen/ink, acrylic layers, to capture expressions and moments in time, often between a couple people, or animal humanoid. These art events aim at breaking down the boundaries of what is art vs music vs theater. They should all be combined, preferably in a nice cozy space with friends, where there is opportunity to talk and exchange ideas, but also dance.. and enjoy a drink..
