Short Stories/Histoires courtes - Audrey Nervi

Audrey Nervi paints "counter-cultures", those of the free parties, raves, those of the travelers of the medium of techno music.
Her work is similar to a logbook where the artist retains the memories of these festive gatherings, real temples of these parties in the wilderness.
Audrey Nervi captures thousands of photographs during her travels. Collected, annotated, selected, these photos are the starting point of her pictorial work and when these nights of trances are over, Audrey returns to Berlin, in her studio, to paint her memory.
Landscapes of one world, portraits of masked friends, costumed, bodies stranded in the frame, children who play big, big children ... Audrey Nervi's "short stories" open a world where everything seems admitted , physically, socially. From an intimate gesture to a political gesture, her works are engaged and engaging because they immerse us in a collective, excessive world of ecstasy and incredible freedom.

The exhibition runs only one day (09 Juni 19h/22h) at the Retramp gallery.
It is the Berlin preview for her exhibition"Histoires courtes diptyques" in Paris ( Vernissage 20 Juni 19h/21h) at Galerie Eva Hober.
